Altered pages: Blank, white paper can be intimidating and uninspiring. We are going to alter and embellish our sketchbook pages with the hopes that it will help fuel creativity.
Please alter at least 15 of your pages. You may do more if you like. Below are some suggestions for alterations. You may do one process twice, but no more than that. Once you have altered your 15 pages, you may repeat a process more than twice.
Have fun with this! Consider these processes backgrounds for your various sketchbook assignments. The embellishments should be non-objective—meaning you are not trying to create images or anything representational. Your pages should be altered such that you can still easily draw on the paper. |
