I am really missing each and every one of you, and the time we shared in class. I am hoping that you are all staying safe and healthy.
Unfortunately, we cannot continue to explore working with clay, and distance learning in a Pottery class poses some real challenges. However, I have been gathering up ideas and will strive to provide opportunities that are fun and interesting. Instead of working with clay, we will look at working sculpturally, using materials that can be found in and around your home. We may also revisit some photography assignments (seeing as most of you were in Photography first semester).
Because I am unsure of what types of art supplies you all have access to (and I don't want you to have to go out and purchase materials), I will be providing you with a variety of art prompts/activities/projects. Check out the drop-down menu on this page to find fun "Weekly Challenges", and well as ideas for more involved projects that you can develop over the next few weeks.
I am excited to see what you all create. Sometimes when life slows down, creativity accelerates! This will be a great opportunity to try new things and think "outside of the box".
