- Construct three dimensional form out of cardboard and like material.
- Construct a form that offers interesting views from all angles.
- Sculpture is well crafted: neat and careful work.
- Sculpture is creative--not an internet replica.
- Student challenged themselves with the scope of the project.
- Sculpture demonstrates attention to detail.
- Sculpture demonstrates attention to surface textures.
- Daily effort: consistent effort/work, ability to problem solve and see project through challenges, daily clean-up!
Cardboard relief design exercise:
For an introductory exercise, before beginning their actual sculpture, students will work to create a non-objective design on a 8" x 8" square of cardboard.

Criteria:
- one layer of design should be recessed (revealing inside corrugation)
- there needs to be areas on the square that include 3 layers of built up cardboard
- attention to the idea of texture
- attention to overall composition
- balance "busy" and "restful" areas
