FILM DEVELOPMENT—TMAX
1. LOAD FILM INTO TANK IN BLACK BAG (total darkness).
2. MEASURE DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR TANK:
• For one roll of film, pour 10 oz. of recycled TMAX developer and add
2 oz. new TMAX to bring up measurement to 12 oz.
• For two rolls of film, use 20 oz. recycled developer and 4 oz. new developer for a total of 24 oz. developer.
3. SET TIMER AND POUR DEVELOPER INTO TANK.
• Tap and agitate for the first 30 seconds and minute thereafter.
• Rinse out measuring cup.
• Develop for 8 minutes.
4. AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME, POUR DEVELOPER INTO RECYCLE BOTTLE AND POUR STOP BATH INTO TANK.
• 12 ounces stop for one roll, 24 oz. for two rolls.
5. STOP FOR 2 MINUTES—THEN POUR STOP BATH DOWN THE DRAIN.
• Rinse out measuring cup and funnel.
6. POUR FIX INTO TANK. FIX FOR 4-5 MINUTES, THEN CHECK FILM.
• 12 oz. for one roll, 24 for two.
• If film is still bright purple, put it back in the fix.
• Return/recycle fix back into fix container.
7. RINSE WITH WATER FOR 4-5 MINUTES.
• Take film off of white spool and loosely coil up film.
• Fill tank with water and place film into tank.
• Rinse for 4-5 minutes.
8. TAKE OUT FILM AND SQUEEGEE DRY.
• Squeegee once, tap, and squeegee a second time.
9. HANG TO DRY.
NOTE: ONLY STOP BATH GOES DOWN THE DRAIN!
